I asked a local where there were gluten free options to eat while on Burano. I have celiac diseases (gluten free). She recommended this place! The menu listed the allergens clearly AND our server was SUPER knowledgeable on what had gluten or not. It made me feel really safe to eat there. I had done so much research for Venice and where, but didn’t know we were going to Burano until we got there so I had no idea if I could find food. They gave me gluten free breadsticks and also made sure I knew I couldn’t have anything that went into the fryer because of cross contamination (which some places in the US don’t even know this). The food was delicious as well! I wish we remembered our servers name, we were the table that told her about MSG being the acronym for glutamate. Which isn’t actually gluten but can be confusing. If the store owner sees this please give her a bonus! Safe eating is hard plus she spoke English, Spanish, and Italian! So if you go here you have lots of language options!
