I have a friend who is gluten free due to celiac disease. She had ordered gluten free pasta along with me who got the same dish. When the dish arrived, she asked the waitress if it was gluten free and the waitress said very firmly that it was not so she gave it to me. When she gave my friend her “gluten free” dish and after my friend took a large bite, the waitress came scurrying back saying that it was not gluten free. We didn’t make a big deal about this because it happens and had happened before to my friend, but when we asked for a new dish we were greeted with extremely poor customer service—I have worked in the service industry for years so I understand mistakes, but treating the customer with kindness and respect is important, especially when mistakes are made. They made it extremely uncomfortable and confusing for us regardless of the language barrier for their own mistake (arguing with us, arguing with each other in front of us, not apologizing with intention). After advocating for my friend and eating for 20 minutes of waiting for another dish, they still charged her $27 CHF for the dish and asked for a tip.

I recently visited this restaurant and had an unpleasant dining experience. I ordered a gluten-free pasta dish, but unfortunately, the quality was very disappointing. The pasta was incredibly salty, making it difficult to enjoy. The waiter tried to fix the issue by adding more sauce, but that only made matters worse as the sauce was also overly salty. It was clear that the food didn’t live up to expectations, especially considering the high reviews. I understand that being a tourist destination doesn’t always guarantee good food, but I was hoping for something much better. Honestly, the food in the mountains (where I had much better meals) was far superior, and even a simple red sauce would have been a better option than what I received here. In my opinion, this place is highly overrated with poor-quality food. I cannot recommend it based on my experience and certainly won’t be returning. And even they charge to tap water.
