We make mistakes sometimes... even the best make mistakes. But damn the misery! The hair on the plate and the piece of plastic, no! I must say that the gentleman who seated us was a good deceiver. They have the gluten free sign, but they have nothing gluten free, not even the bread. I'm from Milan, and I was treated like an unwelcome foreigner all the time. The restaurant was divided in half: on one side the citizens of Venice, on the other the "tourists".

Long wait before we we're asked what we wanted, I had grilled salmon my wife had chicken in mushroom sauce. The salmon was tasty enough but massively over done, my wife's chicken had obviously been pre-cooked, re-heated and hidden in masses of sauce. When my wife commented on the chicken, they made a comment on the reason it was so dry was because she had coeliacs, and it was the way they had to cook it. Nonsense. We asked for the bill....he said no....we laughed it off like it was a joke. He never came back I had to go in and pay. 65 euros for a litre of wine, salmon and potatoes, and chicken in mushroom sauce. Pricey for very much below par food, and the service was poor. Before my wife complained about the chicken, then all of a sudden they wanted to make the effort 🤔
