I’ve been coming to the Rockefeller for years and didn’t know the beer garden in the back existed! I’m so glad it came up in my search for an event space as it was the PERFECT place to host my sister’s bridal shower in July. We had a private bar with mimosas, wine, and beer available paired with a gorgeous backyard feel AND did not break the bank. They were able to accommodate our gluten free and vegetarian guests which was so nice. It was a $1500 minimum (plus tax and tip) which for our group of 20 ladies on a Sunday, I was a little concerned about. We hit it after inviting the groom and a few of his buddies to help us out for the last hour. All we had to worry about was games and decorations and the friendly staff handled everything else! The space could easily and comfortably fit a group much larger than ours, but honestly with Covid it was so nice to have so much room to spread out! They definitely helped us fill the space as well so it didn’t feel too large for our smaller group. Working with Taylor was a delight and we could not have been more pleased with the experience.

The food was good; the experience was the worst. We were there for two hours once we were seated. We were visiting from Vegas, and my friend is allergic to gluten. They have some gluten-free options, and we asked if the gluten-free bun from the veggie burger could be used on any of their burgers. The host went to see if that was possible with the kitchen. He came back to say that it was. About 10 minutes after we placed our order with the gluten-free buns, the waitress came back to our table to say that they ran out of gluten-free buns. We opted for the protein only option with a lettuce wrap. Another 30 minutes pass, and another lady comes to our table to ask about the possibility of cross contamination during the cooking of the burgers. We accepted the risk and told her to proceed. After watching several tables around us be seated and receive their food, we still sat waiting with no food. Another 45 minutes or so pass, and the lady returns to our table to say that there was a mishap with the kitchen and our meal was never cooked, but it was being cooked now and will be out soon. The food finally arrived. We ate and received the check. They apologized for the wait. However, I was shocked that they didn't even offer to discount for the long wait or mishap. Not only did they not do that, but they also charged an additional charge for the lettuce wrap for the burgers. Seriously??!! Lettuce costs more than a bun (even a gluten bun)? This was our second weekend being in Redondo. I will not visit here again.
