Rombe Rooftop

As a long-term resident of the Burwood region, this was my first time having lunch at Rombe Rooftop Café, and it did not disappoint! Decor: The aesthetic has a slight historic charm, and I especially loved the flower arrangements on the roof. Coffee: We both ordered skinny cappuccinos and were surprised by the Swan latte art—such a lovely touch! Food: I had the poached egg on gluten-free bread with grilled chicken. The thick slice of bread was much appreciated, and the chicken was perfectly cooked, despite how it might appear in my photo (likely due to the camera angle). My friend ordered the Wagyu brisket, which she enjoyed, although she mentioned it was a bit too salty. Perhaps next time, we’ll ask for less salt. Overall: A five-star experience! We’re excited to return for brunch or tea—their sweet treats look absolutely delicious!
