Roni's Mac Bar - Albuquerque, NM

Glad we came to try this place while living in Albuquerque. My kids love macaroni and cheese and when I found out they have Gluten-free macaroni it was an easy decision to check the place out. We enjoyed it so much we came back one more time for our final meal before moving from Albuquerque. Staff was very friendly, albeit my senior dad was not excited to order on a computer, but we are in the digital age so it doesn't bother me one bit. This is also one of the more affordable, trendy restaurants in my opinion. In my opinion, I overdid my macaroni on the second visit, the first time I got pulled pork and green chile which was perfect. Pictured is from my second visit, I added pesto and mushrooms to the pork and chile. It was still good, but a little too much going on.

My gluten-free kids are in love!! Great kid sized bowls and they love picking their own toppings. Not too expensive which is great for me. Food comes out fast and there are games like foosball, giant jenga and giant connect 4 to play while you wait. The bowl I got was even better the second day after I stuck it in the toaster oven to reheat. I just wish there was a non-meat protein topping.
