Root 2 Rise NY Larchmont

Stopped in to explore their offerings. I am not GF (although perhaps I should be!), but had heard great things about this cafe and wanted to see for myself. I explained to the owner/staff that I’d be traveling next week and wanted to bring some items to my friend who is gluten-free. They were both so helpful, explaining everything to me as we went along! My friend loves chocolate… and they had so many pastry offerings that fit the bill. Too difficult to choose so I bought “all” of them to sample: brownie bliss, chocolate chip scone, chocolate chunk cookie, and… double chocolate muffin. Just heated up the double chocolate muffin (to partially melt the chocolate chips…) and it was YUMMY!!! The scone was also delicious! No need to be gluten-free to try this place! It is awesome! “Support local businesses.”

Great to have vegan, gluten-free options nearby and delicious too!

First time visit to Root 2 Rise and was impressed by their food and service. The staff was friendly, welcoming and had good suggestions of what to try. The owner Jyoti was talking to us about their food philosophy and how they believe that food can be tasty and good for you. They offer gluten free, dairy free, vegan, locally sourced food that is prepared with love. We ordered a Ramen dish, Mumbai toast and a mushroom toast. Everyone was happy with their food and I was particularly impressed with my mushroom toast. It was nicely prepared and delicious. Ordered a matcha latte to finish off the meal. This was a late lunch (3pm) and I was not hungry for the rest of the day. Definitely going back to try a few other options that caught my eye.
