This is a cute, welcoming coffee shop in an area with few local/non-chain options. I only give 4 stars because service tends to be slow/distracted, although baristas are friendly. Plenty of gluten free and vegan/vegetarian options for drinks and food.

I've been coming to Roots for the last nine years and it has been by far my very favorite coffee shop. Over the last year, though, the NRH location has really lost its vibe and has almost completely new staff who are less friendly. I appreciate gluten free options, but they've basically taken over the whole bakery case and are only okay compared to what they replaced. Basically I'm in mourning for what Roots used to be a few years ago and am reluctantly starting to look for a new go-to.
