Royal Hotel, Nundah

Went to The Royal for an extended family dinner celebration. Very happy with the service , quality of food and attention to special dietary needs for Coeliac and nut allergies. The staff checked on our meals several times, and offered the birthday twins a complimentary dessert or drink. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All positive for the evening!

My husband and I took his parents to dine there for the first time. His dad is celiac so we were making sure that the pizza was gluten free. The waiter assured us all pizzas are gluten free. So we sat down and we confirmed again with a waitress. She also said all pizzas are gluten free. We felt assured. My husband and I also ordered pizza which was alright. My mum in law ordered chicken parmigiana but how disappointing that the salad wasn't fresh and the potatoes were stale. We did let them know when they asked how everything was. Her mocktail was the best of all fortunately! Then we went home and within 1 hour, my dad in law started vomitting which lasted all night. Luckily he didn't have to go to the hospital. The claimed "gluten free" pizza made him sick. I guess some people don't really understand the importance of gluten free.
