Royal Inn (Portishead)

Came for Sunday roast and a Sunday drive. Service was absolutely lovely and very knowledgeable. Gluten-free options were such a treat and to not feel like I was missing half of the roast made it even better. Only two small complaints kept this review from being 5 stars all around and that is that the beef on my trio plate was dry and a bit tough and that my partner's beef rib with all of the gravy on the plate when it came out of the kitchen made it salty. We would definitely come back as the turkey and pork that I had along with the fixings were really very good as was the terrine GF starter that we shared.

We were served by Kirsty on Sunday 6th April, and her service and food were both incredible! Especially accommodating our gluten-free and dairy free needs, and even remembering that these needs when bringing the dessert menu (which most people forget). Thank you, this is our third time here and we’ll definitely be back!

We booked a meal at The Royal as we had friends over. They loved the location and the views. We were served by Guy. He was extremely prompt taking our order but we never felt rushed. He was excellent in ensuring that my gluten free request was adhered to. Our food was absolutely delicious especially the bakewell tart! Our friends loved it so much that they are already talking about going back. Thank you so much to Guy, your customer service is brilliant.
