Rum Fish Grill on St Petersburg Beach is excellent! The large aquarium is mesmerizing. The atmosphere is beautiful yet relaxing. We had their grouper dish. Good portions and fresh. And don’t forget desert! Best gluten free Key Lime pie and hubby had their sweet potato bread pudding. Nice selection of specialty cocktails too. Highly recommend this restaurant! And ask for Nick, the best server!!

Table was provided 30 mins later than reserved. In my opinion, they have put every investment in the fish bowl, which is great, but doesn’t compensate for pricey dishes that weren’t worth it. Not even margaritas are served in a proper glass despite charging as top bars. Finally and the most important, they handle poorly the dish for a celiac. They show a gluten free dish, but it didn’t surpass a single question if the crispy onion were fried separately. Very disappointing experience.

Food allergy guests BE AWARE! Dined at Rum Fish last night and ordered the Salmon entree which was stated to be Gluten Free and was supposed to be served with risotto. I have a gluten allergy and made this aware to our waitress upon ordering. Our meals came out and after taking a bite I quickly realized that my meal did not contain risotto but farrow (a WHEAT grain). The waitress doubled checked with the Chef and they tried telling her it was a farrow risotto so it’s safe to eat. After all of this and her realizing it is not in fact GF she said the manager or Chef would come over and no one ever did! I was then charged for the meal on top of this. The waitress was amazing and handled the situation with the information she was provided but the manager and chef should take full responsibility for this dangerous mistake and ashamed for not coming out to make sure if things would be ok and handling the situation.
