Rumi's Kitchen - DC

I want to shout out Tareq, who was taking care of us today. It was my wife and I anniversary and of course the food was amazing but the energy , care, and recommendations Tareq made for us really made this experience the best experience I’ve ever had in Washington DC dining. My wife had celiac and Tareq was very caring and very intelligent with his recommendations . He knew exactly what he was talking about and helped us pick the best choices possible. Also the non alcoholic mocktails we had were outstanding. I’d def go back! I also fell in love with eggplant appetizers thanks to Tareq recommending this for us - he totally nailed it ! The meat was very well marinated and juicy. Super grateful for the experience and for Tareq making our anniversary dinner one of the best ones we’ve had!

Bustling, busy spot within walking distance to the Marriott Marquis, where we stayed. I appreciated the many Gluten Free options, and the server was very accommodating to my sister's very limited options, as she is on a very restrictive diet. Despite the very busy atmosphere, conversation was easy and the delicious food was timely. A perfect quick dinner spot. Would love to revisit.

I had a fantastic experience at Rumi’s! Every dish was unique and delicious. They were extremely accommodating for vegetarian and gluten-free diets. The menu may not have a vegetarian section BUT they let you create your own meal with veggie appetizers and sides. Farha was our server and he provided kind and helpful service!
