Rusty Pelican Cafe

Great find in beautiful downtown Edmonds. We went on a Saturday for brunch and enjoyed the street market as well. The Rusty Pelican is a lot more refined than the name would imply. Cute decor utilizing a black and white color scheme, peonies, old-time rat pack photos on the walls... They have a large brunch menu with a great selection. The only thing that kept me from a five star review was they were a little pricey, and for being in the greater Seattle area, I was shocked that they had absolutely no gluten-free bread or toast options!!! I would've dearly love to try their smoked salmon, avocado toast.

Expected more from this place I’d heard such great things about. Super disappointed that they had no gluten-free bread options (were told management thought it was too expensive). Fruit bowls were 95% melon with a measly slice of strawberry—for the price would’ve expected a few berries at least! Water for tea was not hot enough to steep the tea bag. Friend ordered sausage and got bacon. Servers were friendly but in general, not on their game and food was just fine. Not worth the $$ IMO.
