I was so excited to go to Río Grande that I was disappointed 😔. The staff is very friendly, although I think some girls are very nice, they are not very professional. We ordered ham, shrimp salad, fried anchovies and muffins, one serranito and one pringá. Everything was very delicious although in my opinion, the pringá muffin had too much juice. My gluten-free beers were hot. 😬 As we got up to leave, we realized that our pants were dripping. At no time did we realize when we sat down that the cushions were wet. So we had to go home with wet pants. I warned the girl at the entrance so they could remove them. I hope they did.

I went with some friends last Sunday, and as soon as we arrived they asked us about food intolerances. I told them that I have celiac disease, and when ordering the food my friends ordered the cheese fritters. I told the waiter not to count one for me, assuming they had gluten. He told me very confidently that I could eat them, that they made them gluten-free, which surprised me and made me very happy. I asked him if he was sure and he said yes. They brought them and when I had eaten half of one the same waiter came and told me: "Don't eat it! It does contain gluten, I've gone to check it just in case, I'm sorry." The waiter did not return to the table, and they charged us for the buñuelo even though I had been intoxicated. A very serious mistake that no one seemed to care about, and for which we were also charged. I had a very bad afternoon, but a person with a food allergy could have had much worse luck.
