WOW! What a phenomenal experience! This bakery has the one and only best kouign amann that you can get anywhere outside of Montreal! It’s the only bakery in the USA that does theirs the right size, which allows it to taste like mouth-watering perfection. It’s my husband’s favorite treat from his favorite bakery in the Boston area so I contacted SALT to see if it might be possible to orchestrate a birthday surprise for him! We ended up doing a private cooking class for up to 8 people with founding (and celebrity chef) Chef Thiago! Not only was he such a sweet guy, the class was so fun, and he even provided the MOST DELICIOUS charcuterie board I’ve ever had!! Everyone in our party can eat gluten except for me. I was planning to just enjoy the experience of cooking kouign amann but to top it all off, Thiago even had gluten-free flour and charcuterie board treats for me! So I even got to eat fresh-baked gluten-free kouign amann for the very first time!! It was an intimate evening full of laughs and delicious treats!
