Discovered by chance while looking for a place to have gluten-free lunch or breakfast, I went from a gray and anonymous Bordeaux (outside, on the street) to a warm, fragrant and colorful Bordeaux (inside, in the bistro).
I thought I would only stop for a coffee, but the captivating smell of the kitchen kept me there longer, until it convinced me to stay for lunch. My maki – iodized carrot, dill, no-cream cheese shallot-chives, candied lemon, carrot curd, carrot chips – made me feel all the warmth of the Souquo cuisine, a comforting dish, both subtle and tasty.
To accompany this moment, a lavender lemonade, also homemade, refreshed me perfectly. And to finish, a chocolate and peanut butter mousse brought a delicious and unexpected touch to this meal.
An address where I will undoubtedly return during my next visits to Bordeaux, especially since the quality/price ratio is excellent. A great discovery for lovers of good cuisine and for those who, like me, must avoid gluten without giving up the pleasure of eating.
