Stay is located in the heart of Kolding and offers gluten-free options in relation to their menu. The reason I chose to eat there was because their outdoor menu sign clearly stated gluten free. According to the menu, they were gluten-free dishes that you can choose either burger or smørrebrød for an extra small amount. I have to say that I am a bit puzzled as to why a gluten-free alternative to pasta dishes and at least a single dessert cannot be made. The burger and fries I got tasted good, the service surprising, as the menu says to go up to the bar and order, but we ended up with an employee coming and taking our order. The place, in my opinion, has potential, but just lacks that last bit to become a permanent place on my list to return to time and time again. Because I think the gluten-free selection feels a bit too limited.

Rarely have I experienced something SO poor!! On their Facebook, they write that there are both gluten-free and vegan alternatives. I order a brunch and ask about the gluten-free alternatives. The waiter confirms the gluten-free bread and that I will get more of the rest instead of granola, pancake and croissant. When we get our food, there is not immediately extra of anything. When contacting the waiter, we are told that there are extra sausages, extra bacon and extra eggs. There are three small sausages and two pieces of bacon and when you look at the next table, which also gets brunch, my portion of eggs is like theirs. When I have to pay, the waiter then tells me that there is an extra charge of DKK 20 for the gluten-free piece of bread, which is a dry, white bun cut into four slices, there was not even one piece of coarse bread. So I have to pay for them to remove food from my brunch. In addition to the great disappointment with the food, they have a craftsman walking around who makes so much noise with a drill that you can't even talk to each other.
