Had an evening meal here and the food was tasty, filling and unique in a positive way. The menu is limited but that is because it is part of the historic experience. Happy to offer additional veg and potatoes or gluten free bread as the Sally Bunn is not GF.

A historic eating house (it seems somehow inappropriate to call it a cafe) which is busy from the moment it opens each day. We arrived at 1000 and by 1005 the place was nearly full. Delightful young women took us to our table and confirmed that they had Gluten Free offerings. We had drinks and scones which were GF and really good. However, the best bit for us was the little museum and shop downstairs which you can visit without having food and drink. Really impressive rendering of what it would have looked like centuries ago and a tiny shop area where we bought Cinnamon Butter, like you do! Well work a visit.
