We visited the one in COS on the 15th of February. It was a little busy being the day after Valentines but not too bad, we were able to make a reservation day of and were seated right away.
We chose this place based on the availability of Gluten free options for my wife.
After taking our drink order the waiter asked if we would like to have any appetizers, I asked about the gluten free menu and he asked if we would like gluten free bread, we said yes. The waiter returned with our drinks and bread and took our main order. My wife enjoyed the bread as we waited for our salads and meal. About 10 min in her stomach starts hurting but she says she thinks it’s just because she hasn’t eaten much that day. After about 20 mins from our initial order a different waitress arrives and asks if we ordered the gluten free bread, and places a new bread in front of us…a gluten free bread. My wife stares with horror at the bread she just ate and realizes why her stomach was starting to hurt.
She immediately runs to the bathroom. While there the waiter brings out salad where I ask him about the bread we ordered and the one he gave us. We realize the mistake and I let him know we have to cancel our order and leave. The manager comes to us soon after my wife returns, we explain the situation, she takes our info offers an ambulance call which we declined and we leave.
My wife was sick for the next few days, we ended up having to take her to the ER where she was admitted into the hospital for a few more days.
Despite having our information no one ever reached out to us from saltgrass.
