A delightful meal in the quaint, artsy town of Langley, the Saltwater Fish House did not disappoint! Though our meal was pricey, I felt it was good value for the money.
Pro tip: arrive half an hour before the restaurant opens and get in line outside the restaurant. We waited for roughy twenty minutes and chatted with some nice locals to pass the time. We were seated immediately upon opening, but the folks not far behind us weren’t as lucky. Seating is limited and the food is sought after, so get there early or be prepared to wait.
I had the Salmon balls (gluten free, here) which were AMAZING. I had a side of grilled asparagus. Lovely meal. My husband had the chowder, which he enjoyed, and the oyster poboy, which he raved about.
Pro tip 2: order an extra tarter sauce to mix in the coleslaw. Delicious.
The view from the restaurant is gorgeous and Langley is a gem of a town. The service was slow, as there was only one waiter working the entire outside section, but he was kind and patient and took time to assist me with making selections for my dietary needs.
Would go back!
