Saltwater Cowboys

I have celiac and alerted my server when we sat down. The poke bowl on the menu was listed as not having any sauces. After taking a bite I realized there is soy sauce in it so I had an allergic reaction. Mistakes happen and wasn’t a big deal to me, and our server clearly felt bad. The manager, Michael, came over and tried to explain that “sometimes soy sauce can be gluten free”, but he doesn’t actually know if theirs is. His whole reaction was very standoffish, and my whole party felt that he handled the situation poorly. The place is very cute, but if you have any allergies stick to just drinks. Inside and outside were both very loud.

This is a big ol’ fun place on the water in a group restaurants. We ate outside with a live musician. The tables were smashed in and we shared a table with two other couples. I tried the fried sampler. It was good. My friend got the rice bowl as a gluten free meal.

Dined out of the patio. While it was incredibly hot, they did a great job of keeping our drinks refilled. Canned nachos were the bomb. We had a gluten free member with us and they did a phenomenal job accommodating his needs. Another member said it was the best cheeseburger he has had in a long time. Great intro stop to our stay in Charleston. Thank you!
