Second Visit: Still excellent food…but extraordinarily poor service. After getting seated, the waiter spilled one of the waters all over the table and onto my son. They brought the wrong fries with our order and then said they would bring out the right kind only to not get them until I was more than half way through my entree. Our water and soft drinks were never refilled. They frankly forgot about us once the food was out. Once we were finished and had waited 10-15 minutes with no sign of our server, we had to walk to the bar to ask for our server. Someone else came to the table a few minutes later and said they didn’t know where our server went (like she disappeared after bringing us our food and never came back.). So he ended up bringing out our check. The proper thing to do would have been to offer up one of the entrees as free, or the drink, or offer a free dessert, but nothing. Just a check and an expectation for a tip. So disappointing for a place that really does have good food which the PC scene still desperately needs more of. ————- Sammy’s is a great diner. What should you get v stay away from? Recommendations to get: - Chivito Sandwich (best thing we ate) - Salmon Salad on quinoa - Nachos (weren’t much to look at but were surprisingly good) - Sweet Potato Fries and Fry Sauce - Fountain Drink (they nail there syrup mixture for Coke Zero) - Gluten Free options (so happy with the GF selections) Avoid: - Bacon Cheeseburger (we were excited to try this…But really meh) Regular Fries Carrot Cake Really stellar service too! Fast and attentive.
