We were pleasantly impressed with the meals at Samuels, and also pleased to see a lot of gluten free, dairy free, vegan options also available for dietaries. This used to be Adelphi but they’ve revamped it and entry is only through the main Hilton doors. The front of the restaurant is essentially the edge of the bar, so it’s a little disjointed and it was a little awkward figuring out who to flag to say we arrived for our booking. There were also lots of people at the bar area which made it quite loud, so perhaps some extra curtains or something to help with bar noise would be good? The menu looked great - we ordered the Baby Capsicums with goats cheese and jalapeños, Amelia Park lamb ribs, and Potato Gnocchi with mushrooms and sage. Sorry, no pictures as the food smelled so good and looked amazing that we already dug in before I thought about it! The dish sizes were reasonable, although for the price could have done with a fraction more on the plate. They were all really delicious however, which exceeded our expectations. Unfortunately it was hard to catch staff attention at the best of times, but our waitress was lovely and was very generous with the fresh grated parmesan on the gnocchi. Highly recommend a try here if you’re not on a budget.
