San Lucas Treetop Dining Experience

Came here for my boyfriend’s birthday, such a fun experience!!! You really get your moneys worth and they have lots of fun extras and waiters have lots of knowledge of regions of Costa Rica. Beautiful sunset, cute that the menu is personalized and easy with gluten free also.

EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! A lot of the reviews are about the view, not the food! I've never had a restaurant knowingly feed me foods that I specifically stated was a severe issue for me. I eat out at expensive restaurants when traveling because I have celiac disease and have to be very careful. The reservation stated "no gluten, celiac disease". The waitress confirmed celiac disease. I was told I was being fed gluten free food. It wasn't until the meal was over that I read the ingredients on the chocolate dessert. It listed gluten as an ingredient. The manager came over and explained they can't do gf, they can only do gluten friendly. ...As an fyi, this is a safety term restaurants use in the US because celiac disease is covered by the ADA. If a restaurant is gluten friendly they need to disclose it in writting at the beginning of the meal. Anyway, the manager told me that it was my fault for eating out. If they are this flippant with gluten, they obviously believe food allergies are a made-up Americam thing. Who knows how they feel about bugs and rodents? Day 4: still in bed. Vacation ruined
