The Sand Castle is one of the great Fire Island bars/restaurants. The view is gorgeous - true oceanfront dining - and the staff are sweet and fun and attentive. The menu tends to rotate and is always amazing! Generally lots of gluten free and vegan options which is especially nice for an island/beach environment, which is otherwise a bit heavy with fried food, pizza, and beach snacks. It’s also a fun cash bar with a good amount of outside seating at the rail or to take drinks away for a hot beach day.

I love it here. I always want to go here. Everything about this place is perfect. I love the waiters and how friendly they are. They are sweet, kind and just the right amount of chatty. The bartenders keep you totally entertained if you sit at the bar.
More importantly, the food is very good! I love the food here and they are gluten free friendly. THEY HAVE GLUTEN FREE ROLLS FOR THE LOBSTER ROLL. Don’t ask how many I had this summer or how much they cost. Between us and friends we’ve eaten the whole menu and nothing has ever been short of delicious. Never had a disappointment.
Lastly, the espresso martini is top notch no matter which bartender makes it.
