Sandgate Post Office Hotel

The crockery was dirty, the walls were filthy, forgot to bring drinks that we had paid for, the food was over an hour late, minimal choice and blatant disregard for medical conditions, selected gluten-free upon booking which came out cross contaminated with gluten filled food so therefore not gluten-free so was unable to eat it and was told by the manager Michelle that they would not provide a refund or credit as we didn’t notify it was for a coeliac. Very disappointing experience!

We had a fabulous lunch here. The wonderful Brock greeted us and showed us to our table. He was fabulous explaining the menu to us which has plenty of variety and lots of gluten free options (as I am coeliac). We had the oysters, tempura prawns (not gf unfortunately-I wish they were) and the mussels in a creamy broth teamed with a beautiful bottle of Wirra wirra churchblock rose. All was perfect. The decor is lovely and fresh too with a large open dining room. We will be back again. 😁✨✨
