To this Southern gal, the test of BBQ is the brisket. It must be moist and tender.
If this is good, everything will be good.
Satchmo's passed with flying colors! Fork tender brisket (no buns for those on keto or gluten free), and fall off the bone pork ribs.
They use jalapenos in many things. Everything except for the lemonade (with a sugar rim) and the sweet sauce seemed spiced.
The staff brought us a sample of the cole slaw. They do seed the peppers, which helps. Would definitely order that the next time, and let pepper eating hubby eat them peppers in it. He says they were mild.
Lots of starchy sides.
Wish they had collards available!
