We spent the morning at Volcano National Park and were looking for a place to eat, but it needed to be able to accommodate gluten free. We started to drive back towards Hilo and found a pizza place that would work, stopped but no place to eat in take out only. With a hungry car we did a search and less than a 1000 feet away was Saucy Mama’s, but we couldn’t see it, as it’s off the main road. Do yourself a favor and find it! The people are wonderful and the food was amazing from this food truck with a garden to dine in next door. We had their tacos, surf and turf fries, dumpling soup and a chicken bowl. All were huge and amazing! We left happy, satisfied and with food for dinner! As for the gluten free, there may be cross contamination, but everyone in the party left happy and felt comfortable. They can accommodate your needs.

We had amazing food. Accommodated gluten free for a celiac like an all-star. We had a big order for 6 of us and it was ready in no time. Can't say enough good things. You will be full when yer done! Menu changes all the time so you can go back often :)
