Savona Restaurant

The ambiance was incredible and the service was amazing. The food was great. My favorite was the grilled octopus. My friend does a gluten-free diet and they were very accommodating. For dessert, I had a coconut creme brule and it was excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant!

We've greatly enjoyed the food at Savona in the past. While our recent dinner was good, we were slightly disappointed with a few of the menu choices. The roasted beet salad was very good, but the wood fired octopus appetizer was just okay. There were 3 small pieces of octopus that were quite chewy while most of the dish was potatoes. I do appreciate how easy it is to eat gluten free here which is another reason I like Savona. But it was disappointing to get the same exact pasta entree (Mafaldine) as someone else at the table only for their dish to have substantially more meat + mushrooms while mine was an afterthought or whatever was left. My dish was mostly sauce. My husband enjoyed the pork chop entree and his Caesar salad. I typically get the Faroe Island Salmon so I thought I'd try something else. Excellent service, but I'm not sure what happened with some dishes being good while others were Eh. Seems like there was a real problem with consistency on a slow night so the kitchen wasn't slammed.
