They had a lot of freezer items, and different shapes of gluten free pastas, which was nice to see. There were also a lot of lovely baked goods in the case.
I read that they had GF beaver tails, so that's why I came. I was excited to try my first beaver tail (newcomer to Canada). When I got it, it was slightly warm on the edges, but refrigerator-cold and damp in the middle. My partner told me they are usually fried, so it should have been piping hot. It was disappointing.
I was thinking about getting a sandwich, but overheard someone ask about getting pasta, but it would have taken 40 min for that. Surprising, since they use the dried pasta they sell to make it.
I had some questions about items, but felt dismissed and almost belittled by the answers. I was off-put by the rude tone, and combined with my disappointing menu item, won't be back.
I'm sure it's fine if you're just going for cookies or frozen goods, but some other folks and myself were wondering if someone was actually there. It took quite some time for the owner to come out from the back. Not sure if that's the norm- maybe they were short-staffed, but don't go unless you have lots of extra time to spare.
