We arrived here as hikers on Thayatalweg 630 (planned by Waldviertel Tourism) in the early afternoon. Very friendly welcome at reception. We mentioned wanting to visit Geras Abbey. There was a tour appointment in the monastery, which was immediately booked for us. Thanks! The dinner in the very tastefully furnished old walls tasted very good. The room is elegant, small, but everything is there! The bathroom is very spacious and has shelves where you need them. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. Gluten-free and vegan dishes were also considered. We felt completely comfortable and well looked after.
