Sea Fuel West End

Unfortunately the food was very overpriced and not pleasant. Nothing on the menu can be made gluten free (same fryer, same grill) yet the menu states gluten free options. As a previously coeliac friendly restaurant this is very misleading. The young lady who served me was very friendly.

Gluten free eaters and coeliacs beware! I rang a couple of weeks ago to check if the chips were gluten free and fried separately to foods containing gluten (important for coeliacs).I was told yes they are fried separately (i asked twice). The next day when ordering, the waitress told me that they are in fact fried in the same oil as gluten so it very disappointing to have been given the wrong info the day before. I rang a few days later and left a message for the owner/manager to contact me but no response. Very poor form. This is the second time Ive been very disappointed with this place. A couple of years ago, they told me that the type of oil they use stops gluten getting through (untrue and in fact dangerous misinformation for coeliacs). I thought id give them another chance but wont ever go back. Seaful, its fine if you cant cater gluten free, just say so instead of providing untrue information that could prove dangerous to coeliacs!
