Seaside Café

This week, I learned that the Seaside Cafe has a Gluten Free menu.💃🏽🕺🏾Now this probably doesn’t mean much to most beach-goers but I am ecstatic! Dealing with Celiac disease, requires gluten free food from careful preparation to avoid cross-contamination. I had not asked in over a year and was overjoyed when they produced a GF menu! Not only did they have a menu but Ruth and Melonie both answered my questions sufficiently about protocol for avoiding gluten in the kitchen. Kudos to the person there that decided it was a good business decision. More restaurants should realize that a member of a party with Celiac disease often selects the restaurant for the group. A GF menu is the first consideration indicating the restaurant is invested in its GF patrons. The menu at Seaside cafe was quite sufficient. Most people with Celiac disease are happy to have at least a few things to choose from so they can eat with their friends and family rather than eat what they carry in case they are stuck where there is no GF menu. Seeing as most social activities are built around eating, Celiac disease is very socially limiting. I am so happy that we did not have to bring our linch nor load up and leave to find a lunch we could enjoy together! I had the Tidal Fish Tacos with plantains and it was delicious. Great chill spot with dogs. I had a mimosa and chicken sandwich. Ruth suggesyed gluten free bread for my allergy. She was attentive and super friendly. Will be back,Thanks!
