This was a return visit for my birthday, because during our first visit we enjoyed both excellent food and service. This visit had an issue. And while they did address the issue by comping my dinner, it did negatively affect my birthday celebration. I requested a gluten free menu when making my reservation, and received it upon arrival. I ordered an appetizer and again requested that it be gluten free. When it was served, I reconfirmed with the server. As I began to eat it, another sever arrived with the gluten free bread crisps, telling me that those I was eating was NOT! When time to order my dinner, I again ordered from the menu I was given. My server asked if the item was on the "gluten free" menu, and I replied "Yes, but please ask that my meal be prepared gluten free". When my dinner arrived, my husband asked the server if my meal was prepared gluten free, and server replied "yes"! I was skeptical, so we asked a 2nd server, who replied "no"! We asked to speak with our primary server who challenged me, stating that I had ordered an item that was NOT on the gluten free menu! I mistakenly thought the entire menu I was given was gluten free. Apparently they had other allergies addressed on the same menu! I decided to eat nothing more, but the manager was called and asked if a gluten free meal could be prepared for me at no cost. I agreed and it was delicious! Not sure why I couldn't get that the first time around! The bottom line is that I was ill for 3 days following due to eating the first batch of NOT gluten free bread crisps!
