My friends and I got food here for takeout, specially because one friend is gluten free. When we picked up the food, the gluten-free friend felt concerned by the look of the food (which looked dark with soy.) I don’t know a lot about this but apparently soy contains gluten, which is why she has to be careful where she eats Asian food. Anyhow, she took the food back in to make sure it was made gluten free and the lady she talked to didn’t seem sure but brushed her off with “yeah, I mean, it looks like it should be.” That said, my friend didn’t feel very reassured. I got Pad Thai with Chicken ($19). Normally I get broccoli, but the up charge for “additional vegetables” is $4. No thank you. This is already too much for Pad Thai, in my opinion, especially when you consider how not good it was. The Paid Thai was so greasy. So greasy. The box that was like a waxed cardboard was practically see-through. The dish had no color at all. That made me nervous. I can say it was the worst, most flavorless Pad Thai I’ve ever eaten. The chicken almost tasted like it was rotisserie chicken thrown in as an afterthought? It was smoky and weird and didn’t taste like Thai food/seasonings at all. Nobody enjoyed their food, though. Everyone was sort of “meh” about it, so it wasn’t just me. We all agreed we probably wouldn’t order from there again. If we did, we’d have to veer from our favorites and try something new. I say, for that price, we can get better Thai food practically anywhere else. I see it is much loved on here, but that wasn’t our experience at all.
