I was in NYC for a girls trip. We went to Serafina Tribeca. I am allergic to gluten and told the waitress. I ordered the Bolognese with gluten free pasta. I was told I had two options Spaghetti and Penne. The drinks were fabulous, the food came out my friends received the wrong pasta dishes. Our server noticed and took them back to be corrected. I was left with the Penne dish. You really have to go by trust when it comes to eating out with a gluten allergy, so I ate my dish. Before I could even leave the restaurant I was in so much pain, our server asked me if I was ok, and if she could get me a tea. I have never been in that much pain as I have not had a plate of gluten in 8 years. I did not complain while we were there, I just wanted to lay down. I have emailed the restaurant, but have not heard back. The food tasted amazing, but it is not worth going there if the likelihood for gluten poisoning happens on your trip, and our meal cost over $300. for the three of us.

We picked this place due to celiac food restrictions. It was the closest to the 9/11 memorial. I called ahead and they said they could boil the gf pasta in a separate pot. When we got there, they said they could, but had to give a disclaimer that they couldn't 100% guarantee cross-contamination. The atmosphere was nice. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. The house bread was soft and fresh. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping were authentic and rich. The bruschetta was good, with fresh basil sprigs and uniformly chopped tomatoes in cute, little tasty cubes on top of the toast. The lobster ravioli was delightful and heart shaped. The lobster bisque sauce was heavier on the roasted red pepper side than I prefer. I enjoy a good heavy cream and Sherry bisque. Prices were usual for New York, so don't be surprised. My daughter enjoyed the meatballs.

Really wanted gluten free pasta my last night in NYC, they didn’t disappoint! The lobster spaghetti was very tasty and the beet salad too! Needed to eat somewhat healthier last night here! Sat at the bar and the bar tender and staff were really nice too!
