During a recent visit to Pienza, we had the pleasure of discovering this small restaurant, run with passion by the owner, a genuine, very friendly and really nice person. He has been running this restaurant since the 90s, and you can feel all the love for tradition in every detail.
The hand-written menu is already a distinctive sign in itself: simple, genuine, like the cuisine it offers. The typical Tuscan dishes are truly excellent, cooked with care and quality ingredients. Special attention also goes to gluten-free cuisine: even though they are not certified, they are very careful and scrupulous, which is not always a given.
The service was also impeccable. The waiter, a guy who has been working there for a few years, was kind, friendly and very professional.
We ate a lot, very well and - what is no small thing - spent very little compared to the quality and quantity offered.
Definitely a place I recommend to those looking for an authentic experience and good food.
