Attempted to go today and they were closed. It’s a Saturday and it was about 2:30 when we went by. Unfortunately, there were not good options for celiac friendly/gluten free in Pienza.

We had dinner here twice, it was a fantastic experience. Homely, hospitable, attentive, fast and conscientious service. My husband loved the bean soup! As a gluten-sensitive person, I was fully informed, they listened to me, they told me several times what I could eat, what was in it, I was given gluten-free bread. The owner was very kind, he was a real treat, we said goodbye with a handshake. Many thanks to him and the team. The time spent with him will remain a lasting memory. πŸ’šπŸ’š We would like to visit him again someday.

During a recent visit to Pienza, we had the pleasure of discovering this small restaurant, run with passion by the owner, a genuine, very friendly and really nice person. He has been running this restaurant since the 90s, and you can feel all the love for tradition in every detail. The hand-written menu is already a distinctive sign in itself: simple, genuine, like the cuisine it offers. The typical Tuscan dishes are truly excellent, cooked with care and quality ingredients. Special attention also goes to gluten-free cuisine: even though they are not certified, they are very careful and scrupulous, which is not always a given. The service was also impeccable. The waiter, a guy who has been working there for a few years, was kind, friendly and very professional. We ate a lot, very well and - what is no small thing - spent very little compared to the quality and quantity offered. Definitely a place I recommend to those looking for an authentic experience and good food.
