I went in hoping for a burger, but not expecting one. They have vegan and gluten free burger buns- but no burgers a gluten intolerant vegan can eat. There are no salad options at all. The people behind the counter were all friendly, and fairly attentive. However it wasn't till after I ordered the burger that I was aware- it wasn't a safe item for me. Based on my own internet search- and 1 employee who was looking out. There is also only 1 shake option- for someone who needs it dairy free, chocolate. I ended my visit with a pretty good chocolate shake, and some crinkle fries I could have gotten anywhere- for more than anyone should have to pay- especially since I literally had to leave with no meal. The menu not being clearly labeled, and a POS feigning being thorough about ingredients/allergens is an unwise combo. The cashier didn't know that there is gluten, farro in the regular veggie burger. Shake Shack- if you wanted to use something similar shaped & texture that isn't in the triticum family- use brown rice- millet- or amaranth! Also gluten free panko exists! There are many ways to make a veggie burger- that is more inclusive. What is the point in having a bun that is gluten free and vegan- if someone like that can't even have a meal there? Pretty fascist in my opinion. Ableism is fascism.Keep politics out of food.
