Shakedown Street BBQ & Grill

We had a wonderful experience at Shakedown Barbecue and Stowe Cider. We arrived at 7 PM on a Saturday night and we’re quickly seated. The wait staff and chef were highly knowledgeable about gluten-free options and were very accommodating regarding our family's allergies. After dinner, the owner, Mark, gave us a brief tour of the cider production. The food and cider were delicious; we can't wait to return. PS. The nachos were the kind that is put together and then baked in the oven & the cheesy gooeyness that makes them the best! On top of all of this, Tim Reynolds was playing on the stage in the next room over!

Wow, Fabulous barbecue,and maybe the best in the Northeast. The ribs and brisket were to die for as were the sides including grilled asparagus, jalapeño cornbread, seasoned fries and amazing coleslaw. Lots of gluten-free options too. My husband said the brisket was the absolute best he has ever had anywhere. The meat on my half rack of ribs fell off the bone. Loved the cider flight with four different good sized samples . Picked up a four pack on our way out and caught some of the live music. This place is a gem.

Shakedown Street Has had our favorite food this summer 2024. Very impressed with the menu, the quality of the ingredients, and the attention to detail. The chef is clearly very talented. While mostly simple bar menu, each dish is very well composed and balanced. It’s great that there are so many salads, gluten-free and vegan options at a barbecue heavy place. And stowe cider is just the best atmosphere. The drinks and the cider and the beer are fabulous and the vibe is fun. service has been fantastic as well.
