I noticed on their website that outside food and drink are not allowed, so I called ahead to ask if an exception could be made for my 5-year-old daughter, who has celiac disease — a serious autoimmune condition that causes intestinal damage if she consumes gluten. Unfortunately, the manager I spoke with quickly and firmly denied the request without any discussion or consideration, despite the fact that their kitchen and menu are not safe for someone with celiac. Just for awareness: celiac disease is covered under the ADA, and when a facility cannot provide safe food, individuals are legally allowed to bring in their own. We won’t be returning and hope management takes the time to become better informed about how to support guests with medical dietary needs.
