Shanikas Berwick

This is the second time I have been to Shanikas in Berwick and it still does not disappoint. Servers are friendly, knowledgeable and demonstrate an amazing amount of skill. This includes remembering each diners drinks to be able to offer and carry out refills seamlessly. Essentially their entire menu can be catered to Gluten Free - however patrons must be aware that any shared kitchen is the diners responsibility to choose if they feel is safe for them or not. I have Coeliac Disease and I have never had an issue when here. As soon as I inform the wait staff they are immediately able to recommend which dishes are their best options, point out everything that they can substitute to be gluten free (which again is essentially everything). They have a wonderful array of drinks to choose from whether alcoholic or not - there truly is something for everyone. Their cocktails are also made very well. My go to meal option is always the BBQ Beef Cheek, it’s beautifully made and well presented. I highly recommend this venue for absolutely any occasion. They have a warm, cosy vibe inside, you can dress up or not yet still feel completely comfortable and at ease. I am always astounded at how reasonable their prices are for the level of quality and service provided.
