Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar

We went to the Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar to celebrate a birthday. We were a large party of 10. There was a wait, but the time passed quickly as we enjoyed the comfortable outside seating and cool beach air. I have a gluten allergy and was pleased to see their menu was labeled with gluten free options (although there weren’t many.) I chose the Summer Grouper. I like fish but it isn’t always my favorite. I prefer other seafood instead. But due to this being gluten free, I ordered it. It did not disappoint. The grouper was flavorful and moist. I also enjoyed the coleslaw it was served with. However, the rest of our party had mixed reviews on their food. The other varieties of fish at the table were dry. Everyone wished they had ordered mine instead. This is why I had to give a lower rating for the overall dining experience. Consider ordering the grouper if you dine at this location. You will enjoy this dish.

Posh restaurant, delicious food, and a beautiful view of the Gulf. Great live music and good vibes. Tasty gluten free options.

Chris A. was amazing!! Super helpful and knowledgeable, have never met someone other than my wife with Type 1 Diabetes and Celiac so he knew how to navigate the menu for her! Views are stunning, live music on the first floor and ocean views on the second. Definitely get the duck fat fries, burger, and grouper sandwich!!
