Sir James Global Food Store

This is a nut shop with plenty of varieties of different foods including gluten free pasta that are hard to find elsewhere. When I'm in Airport West my go to takeaway food is thier pastry thing filled with meat, nutella or the vegetarian. Abosultely tasty, fresh, prepared on premises and cooked or take home and heat yourself. To finish off the dish buy tzatziki dip from Woolworths next door. It's located at a shopping centre plenty of parking to be had.

The store often has taste testing out the front. Today my mum and I asked if part of the taste testing was gluten free as I am celiac. We both asked multiple times to be certain as it is very dangerous for myself to consume gluten and we were reassured that it was after clarify about 5 times with the lady serving it. After having eaten the product another staff member told us it wasn’t gluten free. I approached the manager who apologised, and whilst I was doing so I copped rude looks from the lady who provided me with the wrong information. I wasn’t offered anything other than a sorry, which is disappointing. I am not dealing with the consequences of eating gluten as a celiac. Staff members should not be serving food if they cannot ensure safe service for food allergies.
