This place is extremely crowded in the morning. They did have a steady rate of taking orders and making food and drinks. I have never seen another coffee ship this busy. Even with two lines, they were out the door.
If you have never been, a word of advice... don't bring your own mugs. They are very much not going to use them. I was told this is due to too many people bringing gross, dirty mugs in. If that's the case, I wish they would at least let you use a sit-in ceramic mug. That was not an option, though. There is a lot of seating, but also a lot more people, so don't plan on staying inside.
They do have gluten-free goodies. They had an almond, poppy-seed muffin while we were there, as well as a raspberry scone. The scone was OK. I wasn't a fan of the seeds in the jam it was filled with. The muffin was delicious, with a soft, moist crumb and perfectly delectable.
There are dead animal heads and skins everywhere inside...as decor. They have a wrap-around porch used as outdoor seating, which was great for the many of us with our dogs. That said, being a responsible pet parent, I clean up my dogs mess. There is no outside trash all around the building or even in the park behind them. Some o you can do as someone else did... trying to be responsible and bag it up but leave it in front of the building, or bring your tied off poo bag inside to the trash bin there.
We were here for the festival, the first weekend in October, and as we walked around, we noted zero waste receptacles in town. If they want people to pick up after themselves and their furry family, that seems short-sighted.
I did appreciate the sweater weather latte as I like pumpkin spices, but not pumpkin coffee. This is the only place I found such a drink in the PNW thus far.
