I was really craving a good gourmet burger. And unfortunately, mine was anything but that.. The burger itself was overdone and dry, and they served it to me on a freezing cold bun.
Granite, I know I asked for a gluten-free bun due to an allergy, but I didn’t expect a bun to come out frozen on top of my burger.
When my husband went to ask if they could warm up the bun, they said no because of cross-contamination which I respect, but because I asked for a gluten-free bun is their best practice for a paying patron is to give them a frozen bun?
When my husband pointed that out, they reluctantly put it on the grill, after giving him major attitude like we were inconveniencing them by doing so..
The burger itself was really overcooked, chewy and crumbly. They’re supposed to be bloody Mary sauce on it maybe had a teaspoon of it on it, same with the cream cheese and one small piece of bacon. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing but overall it was super disappointing and if you are someone with a gluten sensitivity I would avoid this place..
With that being said years ago, when I went to the downtown location, they used to serve their burgers on a gluten-free Texas toast, and it was the best! But it looks like they changed probably to cut corners. However, there gluten-free bun is no different than the Udis you get at the grocery store in the frozen section which clearly is what they’re doing.
