An adorable, kitschy cafe with delicious, made-fresh food and friendly service. The decor is varied and really fun to take in, with little unique touches everywhere. Indoor and outdoor seating, and we noticed the outdoor area was dog friendly. There are actually a couple of outdoor seating areas, so there is a lot of seating and space, and the area is beautiful and interesting, with a garden and lots of fun decor.
The food was great and had clearly all been made fresh and by hand. They tout local ingredients, and also have a different state-themed dish that rotates. We had a half order of the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, which were fluffy and delicious (and clearly not made from a boxed mix) and served with real maple syrup, the Breakfast Burrito which was generous in size, a side of the best scrambled eggs I've ever eaten, some orange juice, and some coffee. Everything was delicious. We also took some bakery items to go, and I would go back just for the chocolate chip cookie.
I noticed vegan and gluten-free options on the menu, and as a vegetarian I had plenty of options to choose from.
If you're anywhere in the surrounding area, this little cafe is worth the short drive out to Pittsboro.
