Snacks and Ladders Board Game Café & Eatery

I went to S&L for my 25th birthday dinner, we'd never been and thought we'd give it a try as their menu looked amazing. We had our 7 month old with us who was incredibly grumpy and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about how a crying baby would go down in a small public space. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman by the name of munsh (huge apologies if I've not used the correct spelling there) who seated us at our table and gave us an explanation of how the cafe works with board games etc. He was so friendly and made us feel so welcome. He went the extra mile chatting with our daughter, who absolutely adored him, shouting after him when he left and giving him some big, dribbly grins. The cafe even went as far as to give me a chocolate 'happy birthday' plate which I thought was a lovely gesture. I cannot begin to get across how good the food and drinks were. I am gluten free and the pizza I had was hands down the best pizza I have ever had and my husband feels the same about his meal also. It is evident this place really cares about their customer experience and especially as new parents it was so lovely that our daughter got to experience so much fun too. We would recommend this cafe to anyone and look forward to returning again soon!

Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!! Came in for a lil eat with my son ✨ Gluten free/vegan options available! I had the beyond burger in a gf bun,and the Penang cauliflower curry 😌 absolutely delicious! Well prepared and presented. And mmmm vegan/gluten free milkshakes, lovely and THICK 🩷 Staff all amazing and friendly,very welcoming, fantastic happy atmosphere,will definitely eat here every time I have a trip into Newport 💯😺 Thanks so much guys! Can't wait to bring all my friends for a game night 🤓🎲🃏🕹️
