Social Goose Bar

THIS RESTAURANT MAKES ME WANT TO GO BACK AND TAKE A STAR AWAY FROM EVERY 5 STAR REVIEW I'VE EVER GIVEN, because this is in a class of its own!! Not only did the owner come greet us and take our order, he talked with us about the safety precautions they have taken, to ensure a safe environment. While Manny restaurants take steps towards safety, this place GOES ALL OUT. They have separate dishes, a separate area for prep, and separate cooking operations for celiacs. They also have celiac safe options that I've ever seen in any restaurant before! I ordered the Maine Street Corn (gf pasta dish) and I was blown away. I don't even like corn, to be honest with you. But the description hooked me, and the dish delivered!! I ordered the Social Burger to go, so I could try it later. I ended up eating it the next morning because I was still full from that incredible pasta! After reheating the burger, it was STILL THE BEST BURGER I'VE EVER HAD. I've said this before, and it's slightly possible I'll say it again in the future, but I can't imagine any burger being a bigger bullseye than this one. The patties are cooked perfectly, and the meat is so juicy!!! Then he goes and adds all the right toppings, and their house made sauce. All the sauces are made in house, and I could tell as soon as I bit into the chicken wings. Not to go unmentioned, is the fact that they are VERY SELECTIVE about their meat sources. It all comes through, in the quality of the food. The atmosphere is so friendly and fun, and I would recommend any family visit, for any occasion. I felt very safe eating there, and enjoyed the whole visit. I'll definitely be going back.

Overall I would say this is a great addition to downtown Brunswick. Really respectable gluten free options for folks like myself. The fries could use some work though. 4/5
