Somerville Thai

I have been here 3 times now both for dine-in and takeaway. Each time has been a great experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and happy to accommodate to the best of their ability. They have plenty of Gluten Free options. I am Coeliac so dine out at my own risk, however I am yet to encounter any issues when eating here. Once I notify them of my dietary requirements they are prompt in notifying me if the dish can be made to suit. The atmosphere is great, they have nice lighting and you never have the feeling of it being too loud to hold conversation. Nor is it quiet enough that you feel as though you shouldn’t be talking. Presentation of their food and portion sizes are always wonderful. With a great flavour palette. This is a great venue with value for money. Pad Thai in all varieties, all the Fried rice options and curries are highly recommendable.

I’ve only ever had takeaway from here and I’ve kept going back since switching from another Thai takeaway. Dining in doesn’t hold a great appeal for me however the quality of the food is consistent, tasty and well priced (especially if you use cash.) They cater for gluten free which suits my partner and for me they have an interesting range of dishes with no skimping on the good ingredients. The vegetables in the dishes are one of the standouts for me. They’re always fresh tasting and firm. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area.
