Sooners Corner Restaurant (I-35 Exit 185)

This place is incredible!! This is one of the best steak dinners I’ve had in a very long time! We were passing through Oklahoma heading back to Denton, and wanted to stop and stretch and grab a bite. We were a little skeptical since this place is attached to a gas station, but I’m so glad we stopped! The atmosphere is pretty basic, but it’s clean and cute. The service was fantastic! Better than most places. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about their menu, went over it with us extensively and shared her favorites. I went with the steak 9 oz ribeye, seeing a sign that said local, grass fed etc… It came with a beautiful roll and butter and the salad bar! The salad bar is tiny and no. Descript but everything in it was super fresh and delicious! My husband and I are gluten free, and we filled up on our meals without having to jump through any hoops, our daughter ate our bread. My husband’s meal was a meat lovers omelette, it came with hash browns and biscuits and gravy!! Our daughter ate the biscuits and gravy. Anyhow our food was incredible, and quite frankly that was one the best steaks I’ve ever had, and much better than many of the “steakhouses” we’ve gone to in TX for higher price points. My steak dinner was $20 and came with a baked potato and salad bar all if it was perfectly cooked extremely fresh, not over seasoned, the high quality meat stood on its own. I’m super grateful for the fantastic experience. We will be back when we drive through again! If you are around Perry OK, check this place out, it’s truly a treat! Date of visit: July 2023
